Hi there, I was wondering whether using a tampon would break the hymen? Also, I read somewhere that some women are not born without a hymen (hence don't bleed during their first penetrative sex), how far is this true? asked May 03 '14 at 16:12 Smit karijoh ♦♦ |
Using a tampon will not break your hymen. It might injure the tissue though. It is only used to keep you dry during your periods. A hymen is the thin piece of tissue that partially blocks the entrance to the vagina. Although some women are born without a hymen, most have one, and the hymen varies in size and shape from woman to woman. The hymen usually does not cover the entire vaginal opening, since there must be some way for the menstrual fluid, or period, to leave the body. answered May 04 '14 at 04:47 RitikaDas |
Using tampon can stretch, injure or break your hymen but that does not mean you do not try tampons. Hymen can break without your knowledge even through running or riding a bicycle. Start with the thinnest tampon available. answered May 07 '14 at 07:37 karijoh ♦♦ |
