I am 34yr married lady with one kid. Before the delivery my periods used to last for 5 days but after the birth of my kids I am noticing that my blood flow during the periods is decreased and lasts only 3 days. So I would like to know is this normal or I should seek to the doctor for this?

It is normal for women to get heavier or lighter periods after childbirth compared to before. This is because the hormones that regulate periods take time to sync after a gap of nine months of gestation. Besides there are other factors like frequency and amount of breast feeding that plays a role in regulation of periods after childbirth. Your periods may or may not eventually become same as before childbirth, and this is normal.
