I am 34yr married lady with one kid. Before the delivery my periods used to last for 5 days but after the birth of my kids I am noticing that my blood flow during the periods is decreased and lasts only 3 days. So I would like to know is this normal or I should seek to the doctor for this? asked Nov 05 '12 at 01:49 Pinaki |
It is normal for women to get heavier or lighter periods after childbirth compared to before. This is because the hormones that regulate periods take time to sync after a gap of nine months of gestation. Besides there are other factors like frequency and amount of breast feeding that plays a role in regulation of periods after childbirth. Your periods may or may not eventually become same as before childbirth, and this is normal.
